Come and join the fun!
At Anowah, we believe that everyone deserves a home and an experience that meets their specific needs, and we’re committed to delivering just that.
We have several home and living options in rural and suburban settings across South-West Sydney, including shared living, individual living options and short-term stays (respite). We have well trained staff of various ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds, with a focus on a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering independence and empowering individuals to thrive.
We have a range of accommodation options at our semi-rural Horsley Park site, and a number of shared living models within the community in the Southwest of Sydney.
We always ensure that our clients are able to chose who they live with, and support them to form solid friendships with their housemates. Family members are provided with constant communication from staff and their family members, and are invited to provide feedback on the activities and running of the household. We believe Supported Independent Living is a collaboration between Anowah, the people we support, and their families.
We offer short term accommodation on our semi-rural property at Horsley Park. We offer seasonal packages that combine our restful accommodation with a program of interesting community based activities. Our standard short term accommodation packages are five day mid-week packages, or three day weekend packages. However, we are always flexible and ready to fit in with your requirements, so talk to us if you are looking for a different arrangement.
Individualised Living Options (ILO) is all about innovation. It’s not for everyone but it might be for you. ILO is about looking for creative ways to use your funding to get the optimal living arrangement for you – this could include finding your own home and inviting a person of your choice to support you for an agreed number of hours per week as opposed to paying rent. It could include a host family arrangement, where you pay rent to a host family who also then provides you with some unpaid supports such as being there during the night in case you need support, and helping you get up and about in the mornings so you can start your day. You would also have some additional paid supports that you can purchase with your NDIS funding. We can help you explore your options, and if agreed to by the NDIS, manage your ILO arrangement.
You may already have your own home, or be living in your family home, but require some additional support. Our trained staff can support you with your personal care, community access and social outings, attending personal appointments, daily living tasks, and support you to learn new skills. We can help you find a support worker that will suit your needs, and ensure it is someone you enjoy spending time with.
